Assay
A business model is how you create and deliver value to your customer and make money in return, sustainably.
For you and your customer. This is an agent that interrogates a venture against that definition, one section at a time, and refuses to accept a vague answer.
What it actually does
- Scores you out of 15
- Repeatable, scalable, valuable, profitable, defensible. Scores go down as often as up, and a weak answer is never rounded upward.
- Never invents your business
- Anything you have not said stays UNKNOWN. Every claim is tagged as evidenced, stated, or assumed, so a guess is never mistaken for a fact.
- Names the cheapest killing test
- With thresholds fixed in advance, so a result cannot be graded generously after the fact.
- Learns from outcomes, not opinions
- No idea has reported a real outcome yet, so nothing is cited back as evidence. That stays true until results exist.
On your idea being private
Your workbook is yours. Nothing is shared unless you switch on sharing for a specific idea, and even then only an anonymised shape of it travels: sector, customer type, the five scores, and what happened. Your prose, your name, and your venture never enter the shared corpus.
